Musing is the essence of all art (an all that art). It is as the lyric and myth of our spirit and our soul . . . musing is what I do for amusement. Most of my writing over the past two decades has been musical. These works are difficult to classify (even with respect to fiction or non-fiction). For me, it is a means by which to put 'things' in perspective. The reason I seek to share them has to do with a perspective that (for myself, at least) serves to insulate me against despondence or depression. I see so many people suffering this affliction; it would seem that the cause has to do with our expectations. My interest in musical thought came about after sailing a great distance alone in a small boat. Each time I left a port I had no idea what may lie ahead . . . and that was fine. I was content to accept whatever came my way -- all potential outcomes -- as possibly the most appropriate; and that included even the possibility of entering Davey Jones' locker. It is very difficult to share this 'bewareness' as I call it . . . to put this 'perspective' into language and expose it to evaluation and interpretation. Nevertheless, I  try . . . and the offering I present on this page is my best (and possibly last) effort toward sharing this that has been such a comfort to me.
